Elephant mother and sonFollowing on from the huge success of Ray Martin’s exhibition in July, the Ken Duncan Gallery is now proud to unveil the little-known – yet outstanding – work of award-winning photographer John Wiseman.

Ken Duncan has been helping people improve their photographic skills for many years, but he seldom comes across someone with the passion and determination of John Wiseman. John has been learning from Ken for over 11 years and he has travelled the world in tireless pursuit of his passion – photographing big game and exotic birds.

“John Wiseman is definitely one of Australia’s up and coming photographers,” says Ken, “and he has already won several national and international awards.”

John has recently left behind a successful career in finance, to commit himself fulltime to photography. And we are very proud to be exhibiting over 30 of John’s best wildlife images in our Gallery. The prints will be produced to the highest archival standard and we believe you will find these photos alluring and inspiring.

Meet John Wiseman & Ken Duncan in the Gallery

From haunting photos of big game in Africa, to dazzling humming birds poised over exotic flowers, this is an exhibition that will have you wide-eyed with wonder. John Wiseman On Safari will only be on display from September 2nd to 10th.

Don’t miss your opportunity to see these inspiring images from one of Australia’s rising stars of photography.

During the exhibition, you can attend a short photographic “Wildlife Photography Tips” Seminar with John Wiseman and Ken Duncan in the Gallery theatre. Places for the exclusive Seminars with Ken and John are limited to a maximum of 45 people per session and bookings are essential. We believe they will sell out very quickly, just like Ray Martin’s exclusive sessions did. You can book online at www.trybooking.com

The Ken Duncan Gallery is open daily from 10 am. Admission to the exhibition is free.

For many years, John ran a very successful financial planning business. He travelled whenever he could – joining Ken on 9 expeditions in Australia and overseas – and learned everything he could about taking photos, with Ken and with other photographers. He has now retired from the world of finance to concentrate full-time on photography.

“In all the years I’ve been teaching about photography”, said Ken, “I’ve never come across anyone with such passion and determination as John Wiseman. He has taken every bit of knowledge he could glean, and used it to reinvent himself.”

Photographing exotic birds and big game has become John’s primary passion. And now he is honoured to be exhibiting in the Gallery of his mentor, Ken Duncan.

Aside from the exclusive seminars, John and Ken will be available to chat with visitors on the weekends – Sept 2nd & 3rd, Sept 9th & 10th.
