STORY

The air was thick with the scent of eucalyptus as the last light drained from the sky. Perched in the branches, the black cockatoo studied the world below with an uncanny stillness. Then, without a sound, it lifted into the air, wings slicing the twilight, tail feathers flashing their streaks of gold. I barely had time to react. My camera followed instinctively, framing the moment as it hung, weightless, between earth and sky. The mountains loomed in the background, a shadow against the deepening blue. This was a fleeting glimpse into the secretive world of a bird often heard but rarely seen like this in mid-flight, defying gravity with effortless grace.
