STORY

Rain drizzled over the open landscape as the sulphur-crested cockatoo remained steadfast on the fence, its white feathers dampened but undeterred. I framed the shot, captivated by its quiet resilience. The cockatoo’s yellow crest flickered as the wind carried the scent of wet earth and distant eucalyptus. It surveyed its surroundings with the wisdom of a bird that had seen countless storms. There was no urgency, no rush to seek shelter - just an acceptance of nature’s rhythm. As droplets collected on its plumage, I captured the moment: wild, raw, and beautifully Australian.
