This frog looked like it had somewhere to be. Perched confidently atop the curved blossom of a tropical flower, it struck a pose that could only be described as deliberate. I was photographing deeper in the Ecuadorian rainforest when I caught sight of the movement, subtle, assured, and purposeful. What struck me wasn’t just the rich contrast between the frog’s vibrant lime green skin and the scarlet bloom, it was the sense of personality in its stance. Head lifted, eyes wide, limbs neatly arranged, it held on like a rider surveying its jungle path.
