STORY

I met this young cub just after dawn, seated quietly in the open grasslands of the Masai Mara, Kenya. The rest of the pride was hidden behind a veil of brush, but this one - curious, alert, and utterly still - sat alone in a sliver of warm light. It was too young to follow the hunt, but old enough to watch. There’s something deeply humbling about these early encounters, the beginning of instinct, the first flickers of awareness in a world that demands strength. The way it held its gaze, not directly at me but just beyond, felt like it was already learning how to read the wild. The Masai Mara is full of grandeur, but moments like this remind me it's the quiet passages that often speak the loudest.
